Associate Director

Permanent Opportunity to work remotely

We have a fantastic opportunity for an Associate Director to join TCC’s Advisory Team.

The key aspects of the role are broad ranging and the successful candidate would require a good holistic understanding of key elements of the FCA Handbook, Regulated Business systems and controls within 3LOD as well as approaches to Governance, Culture and Conduct. The successful candidate will also have a specific sector and/or product expertise; this might be in Wealth Management, Insurance, Lending or Consumer Credit.

All employees are based in the UK and are currently working mostly remotely, attending offices and client sites where required.

Key Accountabilities

  • Proactive initiation and development of client relationships
  • Leading the delivery of client projects/engagements
  • Managing necessary internal workstreams including interaction with colleagues in finance and business development
  • Providing support and mentoring to colleagues including Advisory Services Team Consultants
  • Maintaining awareness of current and future regulatory requirements and expectations
  • Reviewing and validating regulatory guidance and advice developed by other team members for clients
  • Drafting and reviewing deliverables including business proposals, Project Initiation Documents, engagement (MI) updates and final reports
  • Providing subject matter expertise and thought leadership in selected sectors/markets to help develop Advisory strategies and business relationships
  • Help to lead a robust delivery model for Advisory Services ensuring it is utilised within projects and that our clients have a clear vision and understanding of what we do and how we do it
  • Be recognised as a role model for demonstrating the TCC culture and work ethic, demanding and delivering high performance and the highest standards of quality whilst maintaining integrity
  • Work collaboratively and openly with others and aim to secure new opportunities to evolve and grow the business as part of TCC’s growth agenda
  • Support the broadening of the TCC client base to reduce dependency on key clients / concentration risk and assist in securing new opportunities
  • Lead robust Client Delivery as defined in the Advisory Services Engagement Lifecycle
  • Strive to achieve target utilisation rates in line with the Advisory Services Business Plan
  • Behave and advocate others to behave in a way that ensures robust client delivery satisfaction levels from clients
  • Support and, where appropriate, lead contributions to the design and develop a tailored suite of propositions to take to our markets and clients

Qualifications

  • Degree Level; or
  • Professional Qualification; or
  • Experienced candidates considered

Skills

  • Knowledge of the FCA Handbook including one or more of:
    • COCON
    • PROD
    • SYSC
    • THRESH
    • DISP
  • Knowledge of the PRA Handbook will be considered
  • Understanding of SMCR
  • Understanding of Corporate Governance
  • Understanding of Culture and Behaviour

Experience & Knowledge

  • Experience within an advisory team, ideally at Associate Director or Director level
  • May suit a senior manager within a BIG4 firm (or similar) wishing to make their next step
